VACANCY: Head of Post-16 Football & Education

Soccer Elite FA (SEFA) are a leading private football academy based in Kent. We are looking for an individual to manage our Post-16 Football & Education Programme, encompassing SEFA College Star Meadow, University of Kent Academies Trust (UKAT) and Maplesden Noakes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, leading and delivering the coaching structure and philosophy for the entire Programme, alongside the company senior management
  • To coach at all three Post-16 centres at least once per week
  • To manage and deliver the football elements of the SEFA College Programme on a day-to-day basis
  • To oversee the coaches who manage squads and take sessions at UKAT and Maplesden Noakes, and be a port of call between the schools and SEFA
  • To oversee the selection of squads for all fixtures
  • To be a presence in the classroom of our SEFA College BTEC Programme and be across the education elements, working with our tutors and education providers to ensure the classroom and the football pitch work in tandem
  • To be the driving force for recruiting new players into the Programme, delivering recruitment sessions, events, open evenings, presentations, meetings etc, alongside the company senior management and the marketing/media team
  • To coach our under 16 JPL squad on Saturday mornings, providing a seamless pathway from the u16 side into the Post-16 Programme
  • To coach at some of our evening Academy sessions with our younger players
  • To manage admin such as match confirmations, booking referees, kit, liaising with schools, leagues etc

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of a UEFA B license
  • Experience of succeeding in a similar role
  • An up to date DBS check or a willingness to obtain one prior to employment
  • An up to date FA safeguarding certificate or a willingness to obtain one prior to employment
  • An up to date first aid certificate or a willingness to obtain one prior to employment
  • A driving license and access to a car

PREFERRED

  • Experience and / or qualifications in the education sector
  • Minibus driving license
  • Knowledge of Kent / SE London football

  • A driven and enthusiastic personality who will lead the Post-16 Programme forward
  • Organised, with an understanding that the requirements off the pitch are as important as the requirements on the pitch
  • Lives within a commutable distance of Gillingham and Maidstone

JOB INFORMATION

  • Full time role, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience
  • Based at Star Meadow Sports Complex, a brand new facility in Gillingham
  • Monday – Saturday
