Simmo awaits England verdict
on January 12, 2015
SEFA Scholar Aaron Simpson has a nervous couple days as he waits to hear if he has made the England Schoolboy Under 18 squad.
The energetic full back took part in the trials which involved the final 32 players at the Lilleshall National Sports centre last weekend.
Aaron will be looking to follow in the footsteps of SEFA Scholarship product Josh Woolley who made the England squad last year.
Lee Spiller said: “Aaron has had a great year and deserves the recognition his receiving across the Scholarship, his club football and for both his county and country.
“He is in with a great shot of making the squad – and if he does it truly is a great opportunity to play against some superb players and take part in some very prestigious fixtures.
“The Centenary Shield is known across the home nations as a springboard for young talent such as Chris Smalling and Ryan Giggs – hopefully Simmo will follow in their footsteps.”
