SEFA fired up for the Irons
on January 15, 2015
We are delighted to confirm that a selection of our Under 6s and 7s will face West Ham United next month.
Our Under 7s will travel to West Ham’s first team training ground on February 6 for a game against the Irons.
Then on February 19 our Under 6s, drawn from our three Saturday Academy centres, will take part in a West Ham festival in Beckton, just a couple of miles away from the Hammers’ famous Upton Park Stadium.
“This is an unbelievable opportunity for all the players involved to play against one of the most famous clubs in English football” said Kieran Culleton.
“This is a great chance for SEFA to pit their wits against what is sure to be some superb players – however we have some incredibly exciting talent in both our under 6 and 7 groups and I can not wait to see them impress in front of the watching West Ham staff.
“It will be great to see our under 7 players take advantage of such a prestigious fixture – which follows hot on the heels of games against the likes of Burnley, Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea at this age group.
“Meanwhile I can not wait to see our Under 6s in what will be their first experience at a professional academy.
“This will be the first of many exciting opportunities for our Under 6 group and they are certain to reap the rewards of being a Soccer Elite FA Saturday Academy player over the coming weeks and months through our extensive fixtures programme.
“This is a very exciting group and it is a glowing testament to our Saturday Academy players and coaching staff that professional clubs are contacting us to look at the boys who are a part of it.
“Exercises such as this against top professional sides will only continue to aid each players individual development and I know all at SEFA are looking forward to following their progress over the coming months and years.”
