The Scholars will travel to face Wales on February 13th before moving onto Lancashire to play Blackburn on February 17th.

SEFA director and Scholars coach Tony Browne said: “These are two superb fixtures that once again gives our players the platform to impress against top players and in front of pro scouts and coaches.

“It is fixtures such as these which see our Scholars have a real spike in their development, and Scholars such as Kaiyne Woolery (currently on loan at Notts County from Bolton Wanderers) and Aaron Simpson (on trial at Wolverhampton Wanderers) will testify as to how much our professional fixtures programme has helped their development.

“Our professional fixtures programme is such a huge part of the Scholarship and really helps to set the SEFA offering apart from the rest. We have our trials for current year 11s coming up and there is no doubt our fixtures programme has aided us to reach unprecedented levels of interest this year.

“We have a great partnership with both Wales and Blackburn, and it is great that we can visit them for games on a yearly basis. With just five days between the fixtures we will make sure the boys are looked after and that their nutrition and recovery is spot on.

“Training is sure to go up yet another level over the next couple of weeks as the boys across all three of our centres vie for a place in the squads that will travel to these superb fixtures.”
