All the best to Post-16 Programme graduates Ryder Delport and Ben Shields, who have started soccer scholarships in America this month.
Ryder and Ben, both 18, have both headed across the pond to study and play at the Western Iowa Tech Community College.
The move to the States comes after two successful years at SEFA College Medway for both players, where they completed a BTEC Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development, while playing in our Education & Football Programme’s national championship-winning Youth Development League squad.

SEFA Head of Post-16 Football Lee Radford said: “We are very proud of the boys as they embark on this exciting new chapter in their lives.
“Both lads excelled in both the football and academic sides during their time with us, and they are now reaping the rewards and can look forward to a fantastic few years in the States. They are both hard-working lads so there is no doubt they will kick on again, taking advantage of the amazing facilities they have out there and playing in games across the country.
“Credit must also go to our education tutors and football coaches, whose guidance has ensured that the boys are pushed into a position where they are offered these opportunities; we are very proud that our SEFA College courses, whether at Medway or Swale, provide both the academic and football credentials required for players to move on to American scholarships.
“We look forward to watching the lads’ progress from afar and wish them the best of luck both in their studies and their football!”
