From Monday we welcome in our new Education & Football Programme 2022 intake, along with our existing students, for the start of pre season.
Players from our three centres, SEFA College, Maplesden Noakes Sixth Form and UKAT Sixth Form (Brompton Academy & Chatham Grammar) will convene this week for a mixture of physical testing and fitness sessions under the watchful eye of Kieran Culleton, Lee Juggins and Patch Lee.
Maplesden Noakes’ pre season will begin on Monday, followed by SEFA College on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, our UKAT Sixth Form players will begin their 22-23 season preparations at Brompton Academy. Players will have a full month of training before pre season friendlies commence from the start of August.
Speaking this weekend ahead of pre season beginning, Kieran Culleton said: “Off the back of a really successful season, as a staff group we have discussed many things during the off-season regarding how we can develop our players even further going forward into the 22-23 campaign.
“The boys and girls have continued to show a very high level of technical skill and tactical understanding, but we have identified that the fitness and conditioning is an area that needs some improvement if our players are to make the biggest impact possible in senior football and fulfil their full potential.
“We are really excited to introduce a tailored pre season programme that has a clear aim to improve players’ strength, power, explosiveness, speed and endurance. We know the squads across our centres are raring to go, and we can’t wait to see their application and hard work over the next few weeks to set themselves up for a fantastic 2022-23 season.”
