Congratulations to Academy player Phoebe Cowley who has signed for Charlton Athletic!
SEFA Head of Academy Lee Juggins said: “We are absolutely over the moon for Phoebe.
“She came in to SEFA at an Advanced level, and very quickly moved up our pyramid to our Elite sessions, where she not only matched the boys in her session, but excelled.
“Phoebe then took part in a game against Charlton with our Boys’ Academy against Charlton Athletic’s boys’, and was the best player on the pitch in SEFA colours. It was clear at this point that Phoebe was ready to move into the ranks of a professional club.
“Phoebe is a real natural talent who has all the tools needed to go and make a real impact in the game over the next few years. She is a power-house of a player who plays with aggression and pace, and is somebody who has no qualms going toe-to-toe physically with whoever she is up against – but always does this with a smile!
Phoebe’s mum Sarah added: “Phoebe has come on leaps and bounds at Soccer Elite. Not only did her whole game improve but her confidence grew as well.”
Everyone at Soccer Elite FA is absolutely delighted for Phoebe, and we wish her all the best at Charlton going forward!
The Soccer Elite FA Girls’ Academy launches this September, and there is also a free Girls’ Soccer School taking place in Medway on Thursday 18 August.
