A massive well done to our older age groups who have impressed against Ipswich Town this week.

Players from under 12 to under 16 have taken part in games against the Tractor Boys at their first team training ground.

The fixtures have been part of a half term ‘Elite Training Camp’ which saw the SEFA squads meet up prior to the fixture for a team training session and classroom work looking at shape and patterns of play.

All teams performed superbly in their games, achieving both good results, and drew praise from the Ipswich coaching staff.

“I am delighted with how the Ipswich games have gone so far” said Ryan Croucher.

“The Elite Training Camp has really helped the boys to be in the best possible shape ahead of the fixtures – and the benefits were reaped during the games themselves.

“The final scores have been good but the performances put in really have been outstanding across the board. The boys have all taken advantage of this magnificent opportunity to face players who have a realistic aim of making it as a professional footballer over the next few years.”

Next week (commencing 14th April) it will be the turn of our younger players to take on Ipswich with games from under 7 to under 11.

“Having seen our older players impress I am looking forward to seeing how our young stars get on” added Ryan.

“The opportunities to shine are coming thick and fast for these boys and I have no doubt they will put on a great display”.
