Congratulations to Academy graduate Bailey Cotton who has signed for AFC Wimbledon.
The 16-year-old has penned a two year scholarship at the League Two outfit after impressing during an extensive trial period, becoming the latest SEFA player to move into full time football.
It has been a fantastic few weeks for the Cotton family, with the news following on swiftly from the confirmation that Bailey’s brother Fin had signed his first professional contract at Millwall.
SEFA managing director Rich Radbourne said: “We are over the moon for Bailey to make this next step in his football journey.
“He has shown great resilience after leaving Millwall a few months ago, coming back and being around us. He worked incredibly hard during this time, so we placed him into Wimbledon via a contact of ours, and then it was all down to him to earn a deal – and that’s what he did.
“Bailey has been a SEFA lad since the age of eight, and it continues to be an amazing part of our job to see players like him move through the age groups and eventually into full time football.
“Well done mate!”
Bailey’s dad Tim added: “I can’t speak highly enough of SEFA who have played a major part in getting both my sons into clubs.”
