Story

Lessi is a product of the SEFA academy playing with us since she was 8 years old. She played with our girl's academy and played with the boys in the Elite centres. She has had an amazing career primarily at Chelsea Ladies FC playing for their academy before playing for the first team. 

 She has played for major clubs such as Charlton and Brighton & Hove Albion and now plays her football at the University of North Carolina under the watchful eye of Women's football legend Anson Dorrance. 

Alessia has had a prolific International career, earning over 60 caps all before she turns 20 years old. She has played in two world cups (U17, Jordan & U20, France) where she won a World Cup bronze medal with Mo Marley's U20 side in France in 2018. 

In the short time she has played in America, Alessia has made a great name for herself. Being named to a shortlist of 15 for the best player in America (MAC Herman trophy) and also being named in the Nations College best team (First Team All-American). Here are her accolades from the two years she has played in America. 

Sophomore year (2nd year):

• United Soccer Coaches first-team All-American selection• 2018 ACC Offensive Player of the Year • first-team All-ACC selection • United Soccer Coaches first-team All-Atlantic Region selection • semifinalist for 2018 Hermann Trophy • named to England roster for U20 World Cup which was held in August 2018 in France • played on an England team which won bronze medal there • was slated to go to England in November for a National Team call up but that was cancelled due to her injury • named to preseason All-ACC Team • tapped for 45-member MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List • a Soccer America preseason Best XI selection

  Freshman year (1st year):

• United Soccer Coaches second-team All-America selection • also named to United Soccer Coaches All-East Region first team • played in 19 games, starting 18 • first-team All-ACC selection • named co-ACC Freshman of the Year • earned honors on ACC All-Freshman Team • tapped as Most Valuable Player of ACC Tournament and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team • named second-team Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI • won top newcomer award in 2017-18 in strength and conditioning area for women’s soccer team • won the 2017-18 Rammy Award for outstanding women’s newcomer in athletic program.
