SEFA Swoops for Saunders

It gives us great pleasure to welcome Jay saunders to SEFA

The ex Maidstone Utd boss will work with the Scholarship programme and Elite Academy sessions.

Jay will once again link up with academy Founder Lee Spiller. The pair played together at Gillingham, Ebbsfleet and Margate and will now work together nurturing the next generation of talent. Jay is also looking to aid players with their pathway and progression, using his vast network of contacts he has developed over years of being in the game to help SEFA players with their next step.

Saunders is still looking to get back into management but will share his knowledge and expertise with SEFA until the right opportunity arises. 'I’m really excited to be linking up with Lee again!

Jay said “Lee was one of the first people that contacted me when I left maidstone and as soon as he mentioned the opportunity to come and work here it was a no brainer for me.

I’ve always been impressed with the setup at SEFA. After having watched a few of the sessions first hand, seen how well the players are coached and looked after for me there is no better academy set up out side of the pro game. I’m looking forward to being a part of that and hopefully helping to develop some of the quality players that SEFA has.”
