Josh, who recently was successful in the nationwide selection process, will take part in a 2 day training programme before the squad take on League 1 Walsall’s U18’s on Sunday.

“I can’t wait to get back up with the squad and train, work hard and hopefully work my way into the starting x11 on Sunday.” said Josh when we caught up with him before he travelled up for the weekend. Josh spoke highly of the experience he has gained whilst being a SEFA scholar and especially being involved with the games against the likes of Norwich City recently.

“Games like the Norwich fixture last year helped me understand the tempo that I need to play at if I want be part of a professional club. Those are the games you always want to be part of so you can gage when you are at compared the professional club’s players.” Josh said that he isn’t as nervous as expected because of those professional club games. ” I’m not as nervous as I think some of the other lads are purely down to the games I have played with Soccer Elite  against the pro clubs. Even before I turned into a scholar I played against quite a few pro clubs so hopefully with that experience behind me I can play my natural game and enjoy the whole experience.”

Everyone at SEFA would like to wish Wisso all the very best over the weekend as he fights for his place in the Centenary Shield squad later this year.
