Just some of the things our customers are saying about SEFA

Michael Beale

Youth Development Officer, Chelsea FC

The coaching staff at Soccer Elite FA are young, energetic and keen to develop.  Unlike other money making organisations this company really has the development of each player at heart.  The sole aim is to give each player the best chance to fulfil their potential.

Having viewed the training at first hand the player to coach ratio is very good and this enables the players valuable contact time with the coaches.  Tony Browne and Lee Spiller have both been through the academy system themselves as players and therefore understand the process of developing young players.  This helps them guide and advise the players and parents wisely.

The parents that have come to the Chelsea development programme through Soccer Elite FA have nothing but good words to say about the company.  In addition the young players are very attached to the coaches and enjoy being in their company.  This is the best indicator that SEFA is a great start for any child playing football and a soccer school that I would personally recommend.

Mike Wilkins – MBE

Youth Development Officer, Gillingham FC

I am very proud and pleased to work closely with Soccer Elite FA.  I was the Director of Sports at the University of Kent for thirty-five years and have been involved in coaching football even longer.  I was Director of the Chelsea FC Centre of Excellence for eleven years before moving to Gillingham FC in 2002.

Soccer Elite FA are very important to the Gillingham FC Youth Department and are consistently supplying the Gillingham FC Youth Department with players of all ages and play regular matches against Gillingham FC.

I organise the Gillingham FC Advance Centre for under 8’s.  The highlight of the season is watching the matches between Soccer Elite FA and Gillingham u8s and especially watching the young outstanding players that Lee and Tony always bring to Canterbury.  We have always recruited players from Soccer Elite FA. There are now Soccer Elite players in most age groups in the Gillingham FC Youth Teams.  It will not be long before a Soccer Elite FA player makes his first team debut.

I have known Lee Spiller and his brother Danny, who plays for Gillingham FC, since they were young outstanding players when they both attended the Chelsea FC Academy.  I am really pleased that Lee, after a career in professional & semi professional football, is now giving something back. Lee is one of the best coaches working in youth football.  Not only does he understand football but, because of attending the Chelsea FC Academy and coming through the system, he has insight into what it feels like for a young player to be in a very competitive situation.

Lee and Tony Browne, another excellent coach, run one of the most professionally organised football schools that I have ever worked with.   Indeed, I would go so far as to say it is one of the best schools from any sports schools /camps I have ever worked with in my thirty-five years at the University of Kent, and that is a lot of schools!

Lee and Tony have an excellent rapport with their players.  Their enthusiasm and joy in coaching football is reflected in their players.  It is also easy to understand why they command so much respect from both players and parents.

I think the highest compliment I could give would be that if my son was of an age to attend a Soccer School; my first choice would be Soccer Elite FA.

Lee Spiller and his dedicated team of staff at Soccer Elite FA have created a special environment to nurture young talent in Kent.  We have played them at various age groups on many occasions over the last few years and every time they prove to be excellent games.
The calm focus and encouragement from the staff is infectious and allows all their players to express themselves without the fear of criticism or being restricted.  The players clearly enjoy playing for SEFA we know there will always be one or two really talented players in each squad.

There has been a steady flow of players signing for Palace over the last four years and just this week (13/1/2011) we are delighted to have offered Louis Callaghan-Inge a contract for CPFC U9s for next season. Louis is a great technical player and typical of the well behaved, coachable and athletic player that SEFA develop.
We look forward to working with Louis and Soccer Elite on the years to come.

What Parents and Players are Saying

Just a thanks once again for all your effort you have put in with Kieran Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. He just can\’t wait to get to training he loves it so much, your coaches make football training so much fun for the kids and for us parents watching keep up the great work.

Gabriella, and myself would like to thank yourselves and your team for the fantastic training, development and opportunities that you have given to Alfie.

The standard of training is far more than when he was at Soccer Elite FA, only the other night travelling home from training, we were chatting in the car about all things football and he said “The best two coaches I have worked with are Lee and Tony”.

The way you create an environment of development in a pressure free, relaxed atmosphere and at the same time retain discipline and respect is a credit to yourselves and your staff.  Both we and Alfie hope we can maintain relationships and friendships we have made through SEFA.

Kind Regards

Gary Gyde

Just a short message to say that Jack got Managers player of the year last week and is very proud to have received the award.  He’s been playing very well every Saturday and works hard on all his football skills, but it’s all down to you guys!

Thanks so much for all the hard work you put in. Jack’s football has improved so much since he’s been with Soccer Elite FA and he loves going every Friday.

Many thanks for all your time and effort you have put in with Jack.

I would like to thank you to Soccer Elite FA and especially the SEFA coach for the great party we had for my son’s birthday last Saturday. Dominic’s friends all said it was the best football party they have been to.  He was great with the kids and kept their full attention for a full 90 minutes, that’s some feat!!

Well done guys!

Mitch has been with Soccer Elite FA from the very start.  Lee and Tony gave Mitch good grounding. We noticed his confidence grew as well as his technical ability and reading of the game.

He had the chance to play against Crystal Palace, West Ham and Charlton.  He then played against Gillingham under 11′s and was invited for a six week trial and after only 3 weeks they signed him.

Mitch is now doing really well and is the under 14′s captain and he will always be grateful to Soccer Elite FA for giving him this chance.

I have always loved my football and some of the most exciting times I have had has been watching my 4 son son’s play and train at Soccer Elite FA.  Matches have been against Acadamy’s and Development Centres such as Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Chelsea, West Ham, Gillingham and Charlton.

My boys love the training and coaches at Soccer Elite FA where they learn and have fun.  One coach told my son “What wise team Coaches tell you on day one, other team coaches tell you in the end”. Another one taught my five year old how to say football phrases in Spanish (Messi Play for Barcelona).  Seriously though the boys have a great experience at the training sessions.

All my boys have progressed to the Advanced Academy and 2 now have a school boy contract at Gillingham. My 7 year old has also signed for Gillingham after playing well in a friendly match for SEFA against Gillingham.  He also played at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham.  My five year old trains at a Chelsea Development Centre.  My 10 year old has improved after starting with the Development squad and has finally moved to the Advanced Academy, well done to him.

Please believe me when I say this is all down to the chances given to them by Soccer Elite FA. Above all the boys really enjoy the sessions, I mean every word.

I owe you both a lot of thanks because you were the people who suggested I should go in goal.  If you didn’t then I wouldn’t have got to where I am today at Crystal Palace where I am enjoying my fourth season.
Thanks so much.

Ryan absolutely loves it and the Soccer Elite FA kit is the only kit of his that I put up on a hanger!

I would just like to say a big thank you to you both and all your coaches for everything you’ve done for Josh since he left Gills, you have really helped him regain his confidence and develop him into a better player than he was a year ago, which has obviously reflected in him winning the player of the year award.
Thanks again.

Well three years down the line and how from them early days it has all changed.  From putting up floodlights at Oldborough in the pouring rain and my car covered in mud from another Charlie Poole tackle and Fin training inside at Senacre at the same time, how to be in two places at once.

Now thanks to The Spills and The Dog I have one son Fin who is in his first year at Gillingham School of Excellence and has just received his first report of which I was over the moon with. This all came about by Fin being released by Chelsea, he went back to SEFA and with the training and matches he played for them he had the choice of West Ham or Gills to go to at the start of this season. Fin enjoying Gills so much and feeling so welcomed there this is what he chose.

Now the CHAZZLE as Lee and Tony call him, has been at SEFA since the start.  He has seen some of his best mates progress to pro-clubs and although a little envious he is very pleased for them.He himself has had trials but has not been successful as of yet, but saying that with the training he has had at SEFA he plays a good standard of football for the school, Coxheath and Maidstone District and of course SEFA.
And on a final note after all this time Charlie still cannot wait for Friday night to get his SEFA FIX and Fin nags me every week “I want to go to SEFA”. It leaves me to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ for all the fun you have given my boys.  I have made two good friends out of Lee and Tony.
I would put money on Charlie coaching for you one day!!  Onwards and Upwards! I wear my heart on my sleeve and say it how it is.

Thanks for everything you have done for both of them.

What the Schools are saying about SEFA ……

Soccer Elite FA has been working at our school running our after school football/sports club for the past two academic years.

We have been extremely happy with the coaches and their work ethics towards the children.  They are always punctual and have never let us down, by not turning up.  The children, parents and staff at the school have been pleased with the coaches level of ability and way with the children.

We have also had SEFA coaches in to help our PE teacher in lessons.  The coaches have been completely supportive and obliging to our teacher and were put to effective use within this time.

I am happy to recommend Soccer Elite FA to other similar establishments as ourselves, and if you wish to discuss this with me further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Soccer Elite FA had an immediate impact upon our children at lunchtimes. It has not only improved the activity levels of the children, helping us to continue to achieve our healthy school status, it has also helped improve behaviour.  The guys are complete professionals with the children, they run the clubs excellently and the children seem permanently active, and really enjoy the sessions – they are always oversubscribed.  We would definitely recommend Soccer Elite to other schools.

One child said, “it is fun and exciting and has really helped me to get better at football. The guys that run it are funny and make lunchtimes fun!” Another said, “it helps us to keep active at lunchtime and the activities are just like the ones that the famous footballers do.

Soccer Elite FA run an afterschool club at Greenfields for our younger children (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2).  This will be the 3rd year that we have had them.  All the children thoroughly enjoy the sessions and all the coaches are great with this younger age. Each session is a good mix of games and short matches to learn and reinforce the skills needed for football, learning while having good fun.  There is also a good level of discipline during the sessions.

Some of our pupils have also gone on to the Under 7s Team that is run in the evening and some have attended the summer school which, I know they have enjoyed.

I have always found the coaches are friendly and adaptable and Soccer Elite as a whole to be friendly and willing to accommodate the needs of the school.  There is also a consistency with the coaches who come which is essential for the younger children.

I’m very impressed with the Soccer Elite’s professionalism.  I, on behalf of the school have been working with Soccer Elite FA for 3 months and have always found the company to be very well organised. The three coaches that I have had the pleasure of working with have been to an extremely high standard and the children thoroughly enjoy the sessions.
