SEFA prides itself on supporting the development of local grass roots football both at a player & coach level. The technical expertise & experience offered by SEFA coaches can be used for the greater good of local football, thereby making top quality coaching accessible to an increased number of players & coaches alike. To this end, SEFA have established recognised club partnerships with chartered standard clubs where coaching knowledge & experience is shared with registered club coaches for the benefit of all of their teams.
This philosophy has generated huge demand within the region & our portfolio of club partnerships continues to grow. Each club partnership is bespoke & programmes can be constructed to fit with the specific needs of a club, team or selection of coaches connected with either. Each element of the programme is designed to the requirements of the scenarios which clubs want to cover, with ‘real-time’ practical demonstrations used alongside written reference papers that can be utilised for ongoing reference when implementing during future training sessions. Each practical demonstration is conducted by a top tier SEFA coach with drills & exercises being completed by the coaches themselves, aiding absorption of learning & retention of information post the session.
Sessions are normally 90 minutes in duration & can roll up into as many sessions as each club requires, running over a number of weeks, months or in some cases during a whole season. This latter approach provides you with a complete portfolio of exercises, drills & progressions that can be used & tweaked for many years to come. In addition to these practical sessions, ‘bolt-on’ benefits include match assessments & analysis where SEFA coaches observe your team in action & your style/approach to game management to provide a deeper insight into your approach to the game.
Club partnerships have been proven to mobilise whole clubs across all of their age groups, contributing towards clubs gaining their FA recognised Chartered Standard plus other related accolades from governing bodies.
