Schools Programme / Work Experience
SEFA schools programme forms a crucial part of our community initiative, providing a wide range of activities which includes breakfast, lunchtime & after school sessions along with lesson time sessions where required. All of the sessions encourage fun & fitness throughout, delivered to children of all age groups & backgrounds in pre-school, primary, secondary & private schools.
Sessions are varied & dynamic in nature based upon the needs of the group however as a constant they incorporate the technical development of basic skills alongside agility, co-ordination & movement together with exploring how to have a healthy lifestyle. Specific classes on healthy eating & nutrition focus on its alignment with a sports persons diet, drawing good parallels between every day people & those of top sportsmen & women. An additional focus is looking at how the body works during exercise & the impact it has on how it functions during activity.
Our approach to our schools programme is wholly aligned to the broader SEFA philosophy, ensuring that the learning environment is conducive to experiential development at every opportunity.
Work Experience
SEFA operates a rich fulfilment programme for work experience students, providing a detailed & practical insight into the working world. Whilst the constituents of our programme focuses mainly on the sporting arena, many broader topics & subjects are covered to provide a rounded, enjoyable & rewarding experience for those attending. The success of our programme can be tangibly seen with the recruitment of students to work either full-time or part-time within SEFA’s coaching pyramid, many of which are being trained on how to become a high performing coach.
