Saturday Academy

Following on from our Mini-Kickers programme is a dedicated programme aimed at our young football stars who are in either reception, year 1 or 2 at school. This programme is a real introduction into the SEFA football experience & provides the perfect environment for young players to learn the technical basics of the game in an environment that encourages development through practical exercises.

 


 

This programme offers our young stars their first real taste of SEFA’s brand of coaching, providing them with opportunities to take part in academy style drills, structured mini-games & total football mastery. Experience shows us that players of this age learn & develop very quickly so providing a structured & dedicated programme specifically for them makes them feel like they are training just like the professionals they see on the television.

 

 

The content of the sessions are focused on creative development, utilising variety & repetition during drills & exercises to aid learning. This is combined with multi-game experience which engenders a passion for the game whilst helping players to transition learning into any game situation that is introduced. Progression will be clearly evident as the structured programme evolves, with players soon able to demonstrate good application of the basic techniques, each one fundamental for future progression in the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SEFA coaches are specifically selected for our Saturday Academy, bringing with them enthusiasm, energy & an ability to relate & engage with players of this age. Our whole success is built upon the continuity of coaching experience & player retention through the age groups with the delivery of this bespoke programme demonstrating our commitment to investing in our young stars of the future.

 

Who can play?

 

Boys and girls of all abilities in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are welcome to attend and start a truly unforgettable journey !!!

1:12 coach to player ratio

 

All coaches hold UEFA and FA coaching certificates, a full CRB check and first aid qualification

 

Children will be full supervised at all times

 

Kick Off

 

All courses run from 10am – 11am, early arrivals are welcome from 9:30 and a later pick up of 11:30 is available.

 

Kit Bag

 

Football Kit, Football Boots / Trainers, Shin Pads, Tracksuit, Rain Jackets & plenty to drink (non fizzy)
