Girls Academy
I have been consistently impressed with the players that have been recommended to our Centre of Excellence by Soccer Elite FA. The players are always technically proficient, have good movement skills and an excellent attitude. It is clear that they have had a very good education in football and have received a high standard of coaching, which has allowed them to make a seamless transition from Soccer Elite FA to Chelsea FC Girls’ Centre of Excellence.

Technical Director
Chelsea FC Girls’ Centre of Excellence
Soccer Elite Girls Academy has been in operation since October 2006 and has proven to be highly successful. It is aimed at giving every player the opportunity to develop their technical ability, confidence and personal fitness. Sessions are constructed to focus on all the different facets associated with being the complete player, concentrating on technical expertise in passing, shooting, dribbling etc. alongside core strength & balance which play such an important part in performing at the highest level.
Sessions are co-ordinated by Head Coach, Danni Farmer who currently captains the Gillingham Ladies team. She has previously played for Charlton Athletic and Fulham Ladies and has represented England U21’s. With her wealth of experience and contacts in the game, committed players will have the opportunity to play friendly matches against professional opposition where they can demonstrate everything that players have learnt in the Soccer Elite FA sessions.
We hope that by offering the girls this opportunity, they will be able to experience that performance standards that need to be reached in order to progress further in the sport. This then provides an internal benchmark for SEFA Girls Academy from which future development sessions can be designed to ensure those standards are met.
It is hoped that a number of girls continue to progress & are signed by a professional club in the future, building upon the 10 players to date that have already being signed . As the Girls Academy continues to grow across all the age groups, our aim is to have many more signed in the coming years.
Women’s football is the fastest growing, and most participated female sport in the country and our academy can only improve the development of the game across the county and help young girls get a head start into what is looking a fantastic future for the sport.
