Advanced Academy Swadelands
The Advanced Academies provides the next stepping stone for a players development, bringing together players from differing backgrounds who collectively have consistently demonstrated the right level of capability to benefit from coaching techniques relevant to this performance tier. The philosophy spanning across all the Advanced Academies from U8′s through to U 16′s age groups is about progression of technical ability alongside an improved reading & understanding of the game.
Coaching techniques are structured & designed specifically to enable a player to grow in stature, building upon the SEFA philosophy of being comfortable & confident in possession alongside being able to make the right decisions when the situation arises. Each session focuses on the different components that contribute to building the complete player, ensuring that content is engaging & reflective of the challenges of the modern day game.
This performance tier is a core stepping stone for players to progress to trials with professional academy set-ups & SEFA utilises its ever expanding network of scouts from professional clubs to recommend & initiate trials for players showing the potential to demonstrate their talents at that level. Many players have already progressed from Advanced Academies from all age groups into signing professional academy forms with the likes of Crystal Palace, Leyton Orient, Gillingham & Chelsea to name but a few & our core vision is for this to continue to grow year on year.
